Help with measuring your curtain track

Use a metal tape measure for accuracy.

  • Decide if your electric curtain track will be fitted within the recess or outside of.
  • Factor in the fabric stack (the gathered fabric when your curtains are open) when deciding your track length.

Inside or outside window recess

If you choose to fit your curtain tracks inside your window recess, please deduct 2cm from the window width measurement you supply to ensure that the track fits within the recess. (Please note, curtains fitted inside the window recess will cover a portion of your window opening when they are drawn apart.)

When fitting curtain tracks outside of the recess, please consider the fabric stack and allow for clearance, if required, when specifying your width.

Help with choosing the position of motor and curtain

When selecting curtain on the left/ curtain on the right, the motor will be on the same side as your selected curtain position.
When selecting curtains at each side, you have the option to position the motor on either the left or the right hand side. The motor battery will need to be recharged occasionally, so it is worth bearing in mind the location of the nearest mains supply when considering the position of the motor.

6 channel remote control handset with timer function in a white finish. Ideal for controlling multiple powered blinds individually and as a group with the addition of timer control.

  • Supplied with a mounting bracket (for wall mount option).
  • Raise, lower and stop functions (open, close, stop).
  • LCD screen and channel selector buttons (6 channels).

You may not want to select a remote control as an option during the order stage as:

  • You are ordering more than one blind and have already selected a remote control.
  • You may already own a Somfy RTS remote control that is compatible with the Somfy powered blind system.
  • You would rather select a control by browsing through the accessories section of the site.
  • You prefer using TaHoma or Connexoon. To establish a connection or to set the bottom, top and 'my' position, an RTS remote is necessary.
