Made to measure blinds

Please note that all our made to measure products are crafted within a manufacturing tolerance of +/-5mm, and curtains within +/-3cm. These tolerances apply in addition to any recess deductions made during production. As measurements are supplied by the customer, made to measure products are custom-made to your specifications and therefore non-returnable under our standard terms and conditions.

Recess Depths

For a Wooden blind fitted inside a window recess, a minimum depth of 6.5cm is required to ensure the headrail and fittings sit neatly within the space.

Motor

Our Wooden Blinds are supplied with a built-in motor, expertly designed for reliable performance and easy operation. The motor is fully integrated within the blind, ensuring powerful, smooth movement.

Pairing Multiple Blinds

When setting up multiple blinds, pair each motor individually to avoid interference. Ensure all other motors are placed in sleep mode before starting the pairing process. For detailed, step-by-step guidance, please refer to our Fitting Guide.

Charging Somfy Motors

Take care when connecting your charger to the Somfy motor. The charging prongs are designed to fit in one direction only - forcing the connection may cause damage. Always ensure the plug is correctly aligned before inserting.

Blind Drop

The overall drop of your blind may vary slightly depending on the slat size selected. We always aim to manufacture as close as possible to your specified measurement; however, the finished blind may be slightly longer than the requested drop.

Blind Ends

As these blinds are cut from standard lengths, the ends may be unfinished or unpainted. This will not affect the appearance of your blind, as the ends are concealed when fitted within a recess.

Brackets and Controls

Your blind comes complete with all the necessary brackets and fittings for straightforward installation. Our universal brackets allow for both face and top fixing to the wall, window frame, or lintel. Side fitting within a recess is not recommended, as standard deductions may affect the fit. The raise control is positioned on the right-hand side, with the tilt control on the left.

The pelmet

The pelmet is supplied at a standard length to allow it to cover the headrail when the blind is fitted outside the window recess. It is mitred on one end only, so it may need to be trimmed to size using a fine wood saw or hacksaw. A mitred edge is only necessary for outside-recess installations - for blinds fitted within the recess, a straight cut provides a neat, finished look.

Headrail Information

Some of our wooden blinds now feature an upgraded headrail design, which may result in minor variations in colour or features compared to previous versions. Each blind is supplied with a matching pelmet to cover the headrail, ensuring any slight difference in appearance or size is discreet and unnoticeable once fitted.

Motorised Control

Please note that motorisation controls the tilt, opening, and closing of the slats only. The blind will not raise or lower automatically. Each motorised blind is carefully assembled to ensure smooth, precise slat movement for effortless light control.
