Made to measure blinds

Please note that all our made to measure products are crafted within a manufacturing tolerance of +/-5mm, and curtains within +/-3cm. These tolerances apply in addition to any recess deductions made during production. As measurements are supplied by the customer, made to measure products are custom-made to your specifications and therefore non-returnable under our standard terms and conditions.

Recess Depths

Roller blinds are supplied with universal brackets that allow for both top and face fixing. For blinds up to 260cm wide, a minimum recess depth of 5cm is required for top fixing, or 6.5cm for face fixing. For wider blinds over 260cm, you’ll need at least 8.5cm for a top fix or 8cm for a face fix. Our Designer Upgrade blinds require a minimum recess depth of 8cm for top fixing and 9cm for face fixing, while the Platinum Upgrade option requires 9cm for top fixing and 11cm for face fixing. These measurements ensure the blind, brackets, and fabric roll fit neatly within the recess and operate smoothly.

Fabric Width

If your chosen blind exceeds the maximum fabric width listed in the product details, a fabric join will be required. Our skilled team takes great care to align patterns precisely, ensuring a neat and balanced finish.

Bay Windows

This product is not recommended for bay window installations. The fabric width will be narrower than the overall blind size ordered, and pattern matching between blinds cannot be guaranteed.

Blind Length

All our roller blinds are made to measure to your chosen width, though they may be supplied with a slightly longer drop than ordered. This extra fabric ensures the blind can be unrolled further if required without affecting its performance or appearance.

Brackets and Controls

Your blind comes complete with all the necessary brackets and fittings for installation. Our universal brackets allow for both face and top fixing to the wall, window frame, or lintel. Please note, side fitting a roller blind within a recess is not recommended, as the standard width deduction may prevent proper operation.

Pairing Multiple Blinds

When setting up multiple blinds, pair each motor individually to avoid interference. Ensure all other motors are placed in sleep mode before starting the pairing process. For detailed, step-by-step guidance, please refer to our Fitting Guide.

Charging Somfy Motors

Take care when connecting your charger to the Somfy motor. The charging prongs are designed to fit in one direction only - forcing the connection may cause damage. Always ensure the plug is correctly aligned before inserting.

Cloth Size

Please be aware that blinds are produced to the overall width, including the mechanisms and brackets, rather than the fabric alone. As a result, the actual cloth width will be approximately 3-4cm narrower than the ordered width.

We offer two premium motor options, each designed to make operating your blinds effortless and convenient. Sonesse Motor: Powerful yet whisper-quiet, the Sonesse motor is ideal for all blind types - especially larger sizes. It combines smooth performance with sleek design and typically only requires a quick recharge once a year. Roll-Up Motor: Delivering reliable performance with around three recharges per year, the Roll-Up motor brings smart control to your blinds - helping you manage light, reduce glare, and maintain privacy throughout the day.
